With immense pleasure, Grayscale Technologies are glad to have kick-started a Cyber Security Workshop series, with the first event being held today, the 28th of September 2022.
The workshop was initiated by Tunku Izzudin Shah, General Manager of Grayscale Technologies, and our partner Mr. Hon CEO of Netassist, a managed security service provider and total cyber security protection provider. Together with Mr. Victor, Vice President, Solutions, & Consultancy of SecurityScorecard, an information security company that rates the cybersecurity postures of corporate entities through completing scored analysis of cyber threat intelligence signals.
The main topic discussed during the session was the reasons for detecting security breaches as early as possible.
Typically, a security breach occurs when an intruder is able to bypass security mechanisms, resulting in unauthorized access to computer data, applications, networks, and devices.
Confidential information has immense value, and it’s not surprising that security breaches can cost companies vast amounts of money. On average, it may cost nearly $4 million for major corporations.
Mr. Hon presented a general briefing on the latest cyber threat trends and how companies should respond to them. In addition, he also revealed various available strategies for cybersecurity mitigation incidents across IT ecosystems and the expected outcome after applying these strategies. This includes a few cybersecurity observations and practical recommendations for handling these threats.
Meanwhile, in the second session of the workshop, Mr. Victor emphasized the importance of presenting security scorecard risk ratings that instantly rate, understand, and proactively monitor the security risk of any organization worldwide, as there are multiple risk factors that represent the different aspects of an organization’s cybersecurity performance.
